Is lavalake faster than Starburst?
We do not present a shared benchmark here. Test identical data, queries, hardware, concurrency and cache states. The underlying engine’s name alone tells you little about your actual workload.
Does lavalake replace every Starburst connection?
There is no blanket guarantee. Check required sources, query behavior and governance individually. The documented integrations and a pilot establish which data flows fit your use case.
Do I need my own data center or admin team?
No. lavalake can also run on rented servers or cloud infrastructure of your choice. An IT service provider you appoint can handle setup, updates and backups. Hosting and operational services are arranged and budgeted separately from the platform license.
